10 Background Dancers Who Are Successful Bollywood Celebrities Now

Dance and Bollywood have been tightly linked to one another and make for a simply irresistible combination that we have come to love through decades. Thus it is never too awkward to see dancers turning actors or actors who make us swoon with their dance moves. We know all the big and bright faces in Bollywood today have struggled their way up and strive hard to maintain their place, while so got a modest launch some others had started out as dancers in the background. It really makes for a great throwback to see where these Bollywood celebrities started out from!

1- Shahid Kapoor

From being the adorable Complan Boy to a dancer in the background in songs like Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jaye in Taal to Mujhko Hui Na Khabar from Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Shahid has done it all before he shined bright as a Bollywood star.

2- Remo D’souza

From being an ace choreographer to being a director in Bollywood, Remo D’souza has shinned bright in all departments. But his passion for dancing started off in the backdrops of films. He was seen in the song ‘Meri Mehbooba’ from the movie’Pardes’.

3- Saroj Khan

Bollywood’s beloved Master Ji has been making many stars dance to her tunes for years, but she too started off by dancing in the background. In the famous song ‘Aaiye Meharbaan’, from the Ashok Kumar and Madhubala film Howrah Bridge Saroj Khan was seen dancing in the backdrop dressed as a guy.

4- Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant was the part of Shaimak Dance troop and also performed as a background dancer along with Hrithik Roshan in the title song of Dhoom 2.

5- Kajal Aggarwal

The Singham actress also danced beside Aishwarya Rai in the movie Kyon Ho Gaya in a song called Uljhane.

6- Daisy Shah

She is a famous one as the actor she was dancing beside, Salman Khan in the Tere Naam song Lagan Lagi, was the one to launch her as an actress in Bollywood.

7- Arshad Warsi

He was a choreographer before he became an actor with some fine comic timing. Little is it known that he was dancing away in the background in a Jeetendra and Kimi Katkar song song called ‘Help Me’ from the film Aag Se Khelenge.

8- Dia Mirza

Former Miss Asia Pacific turned Bollywood actress, Dia Mirza started her career dancing the backdrop in south Indian films. She was seen in the song, En Swasa Kaatre.

9- Farah Khan

The famous choreographer turned director was a dancer in the film Sadaa Suhagan back in 1986. The song was Govinda’s Hum Hain Naujawan.

10- Sajid Khan

Interestingly, Arshad wasn’t the only one dancing in the song ‘Help Me’ Sajid Khan was also right there with him! In fact he was the one who shared this little fact with everyone.
