10 Bollywood Actors Who Don’t Believe in God’s Existence

Living in India, A country of religions, being atheist (a person who does not believes or lacks belief in the existence of God or gods) isn’t very common. but still, it is believed that 13 percent of the total population is atheist. Though, every person makes its own choice of living their life according to themselves.

There are many popular stars in Bollywood- The Indian Hindi Cinema, who don’t follow a or any particular religion.

1. Javed Akhtar

JAVED Akhtar sahib, Most well known respected person of b-town is an atheist.  he once being interviewed said “I don’t believe in the existence of God and his words were, “There are certain things that I would like to make very clear at the very outset. Don’t get carried away by my name – Javed Akhtar. I am not revealing a secret, I am saying something that I have said many times, in writing or on TV, in public…I am an atheist, I have no religious beliefs. And obviously, I don’t believe in the spirituality of some kind. He has brought up his children Farhan and Zoya Akhtar also as atheists.

2. Ram Gopal Varma

Ram Gopal Varma is an Indian film director while addressing to media said at the time of having Ganesh Puja at his home his keen interest was the sweets. The sweets attracted him so much that in those three days he only focused on sweets.

3. Rajeev Khandelwal

famous actor Rajeev also includes in this list. he Being famous for running shows like Juzzbaat and other movies.  he believes that believing in God to an extent is good but thinking that he will come down to solve your problem is stupidity.

4. Kamal Hassan

The writer, director, producer and one of the biggest actor of South Industry, Kamal Hasan also is an atheist. Although he belongs in a typical Tamil Brahmin family he refused to worship Goddoes not follow any superstition. He believes  that religion must be kept to an individual, it should not be the matter of judgment 

5. Farhan Akhtar

Having everything attached to his name Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, playback singer, and television host and also the word atheist. Being the son of a rationale father, Javed Akhtar has also grown up as an atheist.

6. Rajat Kapoor

The very talented and versatile actor, Rajat Kapoor is a complete disbeliever and he doesn’t follow any religion.  he Born to a Hindu family Rajat Kapoor says that God is a man-made concept.
Once in an interview, he revealed, “I think God is a totally man-made concept that has been more harmful than beneficial to mankind. The man has waged war and hurt and killed each other for thousands of years in the name of a God he created. I believe there is no God, no heaven and no hell.”

7. Amol Palekar

Most prominent Marathi film director  Amol Palekar also an atheist. he says that “I am an atheist also. But I think to begin with, I am an agnostic.”

8. Rahul Bose

Rahul Bose is one of the talented actors known for his brilliant performances in many movies. He believes ‘god is within ourselves. Our good habits and attributes are what I call god.’

Once in an interview, he said that “I am an atheist, but being so doesn’t stop me from respecting those who believe in religion. I don’t try to influence anyone or force my opinion on them. Also, my beliefs cannot be influenced by anyone.”

9. Anurag Kashyap

Anurag Kashyap is the most talented director of Bollywood. He has been making many offbeat but brilliant movies that are turning out to be blockbuster hits among the youngsters. he also belongs to the so-called self-proclaimed atheist community.

Once when someone asked about his views on religion, he said, “I am an atheist. Cinema is the only religion I believe in”.

10. Zoya Akhtar

 Daughter of Javed Akhtar and Sister of Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar was brought up as an atheist. His father stated in his speech “Spirituality, Halo or Hoax”.
