10 Upcoming Hollywood Movies will Glue you to Cinema Halls in 2020

From extravagant superhero films like Avengers : Endgame to blockbusters like Joker, it introduced us to cinema that just blew our minds. But if you thought 2019 was good, you’ll be blown away with what 2020 has in store. Here’s is a list for all the kickass upcoming movies coming your way.

1- The Grudge (January 3, 2020)

If it feels like you’re having a déjà vu film experience with 2020’s The Grudge, you aren’t alone. The vengeful ghost in the second remake of the Japanese horror flick promises to be scarier. Starring Andrea Riseborough, Betty Gilpin, John Cho, it already is giving us goosebumps.

2- Black Widow (May 1, 2020)

Marvel’s long-awaited standalone film featuring Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, known by her alter ego Black Widow, arrives next spring. It will see the spy-turned-Avenger head to Russia to confront her past and face off against assassin Yelena Belova (a stellar Florence Pugh).

3- Dolittle (January 17, 2020)

Robert Downey’s journey might have ended as Iron Man but he will be back again next year as the quirky Doctor Dolittle who has the ability to talk to animals and prefers them over humans, but is forced to set sail on an adventure to find a cure for Queen Victoria’s grave illness. Naturally, there’s an all-star voice cast including Emma Thompson, Rami Malek, Tom Holland, Ralph Fiennes, Serena Gomez and Marion Cotillard to name just a few, while Antonio Banderas and Michael Sheen feature in supporting roles.

4- Birds of Prey (February 7, 2020)

This electrifying Suicide Squad spin-off lets Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn take centre stage. Having broken up with the Joker, she embarks on a new mission with superheroes Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya. Their goal? To save a young girl from the notorious crime lord, Black Mask.

5- Bloodshot (February 21, 2020)

Adapted from Valient Comics, Bloodshot (Vin Diesel) is ready to become another powerful superhero. He is enhanced with nanotechnology and basically nobody can kill him. Can’t wait to see this action-packed flick.

6- The New Mutants (April 3, 2020)

Dare we even talk about The New Mutants as a 2020 release? At this rate, assigning an actual date to this seemingly cursed X-Men project is like waiting for a toad to get struck by lightning. It is a movie where popular young actors like Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton will be seen as the nextgeneration X-Men. The movie is a rather dark take on when these kids discover their abilities.

7- The Gentleman (January 24, 2020)

After Aladdin, Guy Ritchie returns to his action crime roots with this story of an American immigrant (Matthew McConaughey) who has decided to cash out his marijuana empire in London. Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Grant star alongside.

8- Underwater (January 10, 2020)

Kristen Stewart has come a long way since Twilight. Only two months after appearing as the badass angel Sabina in Elizabeth Banks’ 2019 Charlie’s Angels reboot, Stewart can be seen in Underwater, a film about an underwater research crew who find themselves trapped following a devastating earthquake. Underwater’s cast also includes Vincent Cassel, Jessica Henwick, John Gallagher, Jr., Mamoudou Athie, and Gunner Wright. It’s directed by William Eubank.

9- Sonic The Hedgehog (February 14, 2020)

Delayed to make time for the redesign of its blue speedster in the face of criticism, this video game adaptation follows Sonic (Ben Schwartz) visiting Earth, teaming up with a former cop (James Marsden), and evading Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey), a scientist interested in world domination.

10- Call of the Wild (February 21, 2020)

Harrison Ford stars alongside a CGI dog in this adaption of the Jack London novel of the same name.
