11 Famous Indian Celebs Who had Shortest Marriage, Even less than the Validity of a Mobile Sim

Romeo and Juliet weren’t the only star-crossed lovers. Most marriage vows make mention of “’til death do us part,” and most people take that seriously. At the same time, most people aren’t celebrities who aren’t afforded the luxury of privacy when it comes to their relationships and love lives. We’re always rooting for them to work it out, but sometimes, that’s not the way the stars align. 

We all love the glitz, the glamour and the romance of a celebrity wedding. However, life in the spotlight can be a challenge for famous couples, whether both of them are in limelight or not. And sometimes the honeymoon is over almost before it began.

We’ve rounded up 11 celebrity couples whose marriages didn’t stand the test of time. In fact, some of these pairings split not long after the ink dried on their marriage certificates!

1- Mukesh Agarwal and Rekha (12 Months)

Well, this case is a little different. The two got married in 1990. However, in 1991, when Rekha was in London, Mukesh decided to end his life and committed suicide. He also cleared that no one was to be blamed for his death!

2- Karan Singh Grover and Shraddha Nigam (10 Months)

The two were much in love and decided to get married. However, Shraddha decided to end the marriage after 10 months due to rumours of Karan’s extra marital affairs started doing the rounds! 

3- Kishore Kumar and Yogita Bali (24 Months)

Kishore Kumar’s third marriage ended when Kishore Kumar felt unhappy about Yogita’s proximity to Mithun. The two fell apart and Yogita married Mithun while Kishore Kumar settled with Leena Chandavarkar!

4- Karan Singh Gill and Mallika Sherawat (12 Months)

Mallika had never admitted to being married. However, there were a few pictures of her which suggested that she was married before she entered Bollywood. Mallika was apparently married to pilot, Karan Singh Gill. However, she did not continue her marriage and chose her career over it!

5- Samrat Dahal and Manisha Koirala (24 Months)

The two got married in 2010, but a few after marriage, Manisha realised that she was not happy! In fact, she had confided the fact to her close friends. She also suffered from fits of rage and had once wrote “my husband is my biggest enemy” on her Facebook wall! They finally got divorced in 2012.

6- Sajid Nadiadwala and Divya Bharti (11 Months)

The two fell in love on the sets of Shola and Shabnam and soon tied the knot. However, within 11 months, Divya fell off her apartment and lost her life. It still remains a mystery whether she committed suicide or was killed!

7- Pulkit Samrat and Shweta Rohira (12 Months)

The two were much in love and decided to convert their relationship into marriage! However, if rumours are to be believed, Pulkit began an affair with his Sanam Re co-star Yami Gautam. Shweta blamed Yami for the rift in their marriage, while Pulkit said that he realised that Shweta isn’t his soul mate, which is why they chose to separate!

8- Bharat Narsinghani and Chahat Khanna (8 Months)

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain fame Chahat married businessman Bharat in 2006. The popular actress got married and even bid goodbye to her career. However, she fell victim to domestic violence and chose to end it in 8 months! She is now happily married to Farhan Mirza.

9- Mandana Karimi and Gaurav Gupta (6 months)

Former Bigg Boss contestant Mandana married businessman Gaurav on January 25, 2017. However, their marriage ended in just six months. The couple ended their relationship on a bitter note.

10- Karan Singh Grover and Jennifer Winget (24 months)

Post his divorce with Shraddha Nigam, Karan married actress Jennifer Winget. The couple was one of the ‘IT’ couples of television. Their marriage ended after two years of being together.

11- Ali Merchant and Sara Khan (2 months)

In 2010, Sara married her longtime boyfriend Ali Merchant in Bigg Boss 4. The couple called it quits after two months.
