After completing his early education at Hill Grange High School at Peddar Road, Mumbai, he received his BE degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (UDCT), Matunga. In the 1980s, Mukesh Ambani was doing his MBAfrom Stanford University in California. However, he had to leave the MBA, and come back to India due to failing health of his dad. After he came back, he established the Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) Manufacturing Plant.

Considered to be some of the biggest business tycoons, Adi Godrej, Anand Mahindra Anand Jain and Mukesh Ambani studied in the same school and are also said to be best friends.

Everyone thinks about Mukesh Ambani’s connection with cricket as he owns Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians. But, during his school days, Mukesh Ambani used to play hockey and had also lost his interest in studies because of it.
