With his brilliant performance at U19 level, Rishabh Pant rose to fame. He was born on October 4,1997 in Haridwar. In Nov 2016 during his Ranji Trophy season in a match against Jharkhand he slammed the fastest century. 1- Early Days
In order to find a good coach, he swapped many cities. He started with Roorkee, Rajasthan and then finally moved to Delhi.
2- Coach’s Advice
Pant was enrolled at Sonnet Club where he met Tarak Sinha under whose guidance he matured into one of the finest cricketer in Delhi. Sinha advised Pant to move Rajasthan for better opportunities. He went there and later represented Rajasthan at U-14 and U-16 level.
3- Thrown out of the academy
Pant faced expulsion from Rajasthan cricket circle for being an outsider.
4- Back to Delhi
Then he moved to Delhi and before his 18th birthday he made his first debut for Delhi. He completed his last 2 years of schooling in Delhi.
5- Excelling at the U-19’s
In ICC U-19 World Cup 2016, held in Bangladesh, Pant was selected. He proved to be a brilliant performer for India as India U-19 ended as a runner – up of the tournament. He hit 3 consecutive fifties in the tournament.
6- Fastest Fifty in U-19 World Cup
He hit his fastest fifty in ICC U-19 World Cup 2016. He completed his fifty in just 18 balls against Nepal and ended up with score of 78 off 24 balls.
7- The IPL Connect
When he scored a hundred against Namibia U-19, he was bought by Delhi Daredevils in IPL for 1.9 crore rupees.
