Films with big stars and big budget are always in lime- light . But there are many movies which have done a remarkable job when being in a small budget.But when they got released , didn’t get that much fame although being with a good script.

Our today’s story is all about those films which are underrated .

Stanley Ka Dabba

One of the best movie , which touched the hearts of audience .Feeling of being hungry and that too being a child .Also being in the burden of child labor .Everything was shown like perfectly .The film is directed and produced by Amole Gupte and his son Partho Gupte starred as Stanley.


The movie is based on the the story when a family builds a shrine for Hastar, a monster who is never to be worshipped, and attempts to get their hands on his cursed wealth, they face catastrophic consequences.

Margarita, With A Straw

The story of rebellious young woman with cerebral palsy leaves India to study in New York. On her journey of self-discovery, she unexpectedly falls in love . It’s a lovely movie with not so great reaction by the audience.

Liar’s Dice

The movie written and directed by Geetu Mohandas where the character Kamala, a young woman from Chitkul village and her girl child Manya, embark on a journey leaving their native land in search for her missing husband. The film starred Geetanjali Thapa and Nawazuddin Siddiqui .


Dr Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras, a professor on whom a sting operation was carried out to determine his sexual orientation, forms a special bond with the journalist who covers his story. The film is directed by Hansal Mehta.



Directed by Nitin Kakkar ,the film revolves around the character Sunny, an assistant film director in Mumbai, aspires to become a superstar. He starts working on a project with an American crew in a remote area where a terrorist group mistakenly kidnaps him.

Miss Lovely       

The film is about a meeting with a struggling actress (Niharika Singh) gives a mild-mannered filmmaker (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) the idea to break away from his controlling brother (Anil George) and direct a feature of his own.


Directed by Debabrat Pain , the movie is about the boy Jhunku, a 14-year-old youth in 1930s British Bangladesh, embarks on a journey to determine where he belongs.

Shor in the City

The film is directed by Raj and DK , starring Tusshar Kapoor and Radhika Apte . The scriprt revolves around the underworld and crimes in the Mumbai city . The film was appreciated by the critics but did not make much profit at the box office.


Film Lahore is a 2010 Indian Hindi sports film that was released on 19 March 2010 and is loosely based on the American martial arts movie Best of the Best. It depicts the story of an Indian kickboxer who defeats a Pakistani kickboxer in an Asian kickboxing tournament. The event ends in a tragedy due to the Pakistani players’ intemperance and the peace process initiated by the two countries struggles to gain its momentum.

Do Dooni Chaar 

Directed by Arinandam Chaudhari , the film based on the middle class family and how they manage their budget. Starring the great couple Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor , where Rishi Kapoor played the character of a teacher and how the family struggle to have their dream car.

Lipstick Under My Burkha

Directed by Alankrita Shrivastava , the film revolves around the females who are in search of gender equality. They work by hook or crook ,when they finally do the things according to their wish the society just goes against them.

The film made under the direction of Leena Yadav .Parched is the story of four women in a desert village of Rajasthan India. The village and the society are plagued by several social evils, age-old traditions and practices of patriarchy, child marriage, dowry, marital rapes and physical and mental abuse.

B.A. Pass

The A certified movie BA pass revolves around a student is forced to compromise his morals in order to try to save his and his sister’s futures. When his parents die, Mukesh moves to Delhi to pursue his ambition of studying to B.A. level.


The brilliant movie is about the character Shahid Azmi, a former militant operative, goes on to become a criminal lawyer. He fights to get justice for those who have been falsely convicted of terrorism but himself meets an unjust end.
