1- Born on September 5, 1976, Pankaj was raised in a small village named Belsand of Gopalganj district in Bihar. He comes from a very humble background as his father works as a farmer and priest.

2- When Pankaj Tripathi was in standard 10th, he used to help his father with farming. He then dreamt of owning a Tractor that would make ploughing easier and fun.

3- During the annual festival celebrations in his village, the actor used to play the role of a girl.

4- The impact of actor Manoj Bajpayee was very profound on his life. Adjacent to his village is Manoj Bajpayee’s village. When Satya was released, people talked a lot about Manoj Bajpayee. 5- After he completed his High School, Pankaj went Patna for his further studies as his father wanted him to become a doctor.

9- Out of fear of failure in acting, Pankaj took hotel management course Food Craft Institute in Patna. He later also worked as a kitchen supervisor in Maurya Hotel, Patna.

10- Despite being a great actor, Tripathi was rejected by National School of Drama twice. He made it to NSD in his third attempt and graduated in 2004.

11- After graduating from NSD, he came back to Patna and there he used to perform in plays to earn money.
