A sad news for the beer lovers and time to switch Budweiser and Hoegaarden because these 2 beer brands have been banned in New Delhi for the next three years for apparently escaping local taxes.
Recently reported by Reuters, Anheuser-Busch InBev is banned from selling Budweiser and Hoegaarden in the Capital as the government found
that beer bottles were supplied to city retailers at low taxes with the application of duplicate barcodes.
Now, till next three years no new stock of liquor can be sold at retail stores or restaurants as warehouses in Delhi for both the beer brands have already been sealed. However, AB InBev told Reuters that the government’s affermations are related to business of SABMiller before its takeover. “Integrity and ethics are part of our core values, we look forward to presenting our views in full cooperation with the excise appellate process,” said a company spokesperson”.
Still to go long way to pass through this governmental subject,we wish to see these 2 lovable beer brands in capital soon!
