He is the co-founder and CEO of American social media company Snap Inc. During his days as a student at Stanford University, he created the app along with Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown. The app gained popularity and in 2012 shortly before completing his degree, Evan dropped out of Stanford to focus on Snapchat. And by the end of the year 2012, Snapchat reached 1 million daily active users.

Born in Cuttack, Odisha, Ritesh used to sell sim cards when he was 13 years old. In 2013, he dropped out of college and was selected for the Peter Thiel Fellowship in the same year.
