“Narayan started the stall during the Jyoti Basu government. Back then each kochuri was priced at 50 paisa and for school kids it was 25 paise, something that has carried forward to this day.
Every day he heads to his stall at around 7am and cooks up breakfast for the hungry customers who throng his shop. The crowds wait in queues until 10am.
He then restarts his business around 2 in afternoon when kids are getting out of school and sells delicious telebhajas (fritters) like peyaji, alur chop, mochar chop, dhokar chop, and beguni all for a mere Rs 1 a plate. ” reports The Indian Express.
Further added “If I increase the prices after all this time, many would be disappointed. The shop is in a neighbourhood, everyone is eating here for very long. The students crowd in too, it gives me great satisfaction.”
