National Geographic is back with the second season of Mega Icons from September 20. The show takes us into the lives of some of India’s most inspiring personalities and decodes their journey to greatness through exclusive and intimate interviews of them and their close ones. Using cinematic recreations, the unique format decodes whether it was their conditioning, experiences, and hard work, or their perspective to look at things differently that defined their path to success.
And the first episode of the second season aired was all about Deepika Padukone. The episode took us inside the success story of the woman the world has grown to love.
Mega Icons explored a raw and impactful detailing of Deepika’s life, the highs and lows of her career and personal life and her struggles with depression. Apart from playing out a rewind of her braggable achievements, the docu-episode brings some never-seen-before insights to light.
We get to see Deepika Padukone through the perspective of her family and directors she has worked with. More importantly, we get to watch Ranveer Singh talk about key turning points in her life.
We got a peek into her relationship with her beau and now husband Ranveer Singh and he has been a key roleplayer in helping her fight the emotional knots that were binding her back from the happiness that she deserved.
On the work front, Deepika is currently shooting for Shakun Batra’s next. Before that, Deepika and Ranveer would be seen in 83, which is the biopic of cricketer Kapil Dev.
