The outbreak of coronavirus globally has left the world standstill. Almost every nation is in lockdown with everyone staying in their respective houses. All the schools, colleges, offices and everything is closed. But think about those workers who used to earn their living on a daily basis. How will they fulfill their essential needs?
Retired Pakistani cricketer, Shahid Afridi is well known for his social deeds. In order to help the needy, Afridi, through his foundation, is providing them with ration and essential supplies. Afridi stepped out to help over 2000 poor families in Pakistan.
Seeing him helping the needy, Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter to applaud his efforts and doing ‘great work of humanity’.
He wrote, “Great work for humanity @SafridiOfficial May god bless us all.. more power to you.. praying for world’s well being.. Nanak naam chardikala tere bhaane sarbat da bhala”.
Later, Afridi thanked Harbhajan for the appreciation and said, ‘Humanity is bigger than anything’. He also urged others to help those in need.
“Humanity is bigger than anything! Thank you Bhajji for your kind words. The world needs to unite, it is our collective responsibility to help the poor and needy in every way possible in the global fight against,” Afridi replied.
Just like other countries, Pakistan too is struck hard by the global pandemic. So far, there has been 7 dead, and 1000 infected while 14 people have fully recovered.
