Here’s Why Deepika Padukone Trolled so Badly During #Safehands Challenge on Twitter

Coronavirus has now become a global pandemic. With this, authorities all over are spreading the importance of washing hands and maintaining basic hygiene.

Actress Deepika Padukone too has taken charge of spreading awareness about the novel Coronavirus. After being nominated by WHO’s director, General Tedros, Deepika took up the Safe Hands challenge and posted a video, in which she was seen washing her hands. She nominated Roger Federer, Christiano Ronaldo and Virat Kohli for the challenge.

She captioned it,
“Thank You @DrTedros, for nominating me for the #SafeHands Challenge! #COVID19 surely is an uphill health and public safety task, but all of us are in this fight together! I further nominate @rogerfederer, @Cristiano and @imVkohli to take up this challenge! #coronavirus #StaySafe”

Here’s her tweet:

Deepika was then trolled for tagging Federer and Ronaldo as the users think they both didn’t even know the actress. Some slammed her for not nominating Ranveer Singh. She was also questioned for the obvious – why the mask at home?

Maintain personal hygiene and be safe!
