Are you ready to feel old?
In what seems like the blink of an eye, an entire decade has passed. Looking back on the year alone is crazy enough — but attempting to wrap your head around the past 10 years? It almost seems like an impossible task, but luckily for you, we’ve rounded up some of the most iconic moments and events that have happened in the past decade (and trust us, there’s a lot to remember).
- Radhika Apte and Netflix’s bond was unbreakable. If there was something on Netfix, Radhika was in it.
- Rachel aka Jennifer Aniston finally joined Instagram and got the most iconic welcome by her ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S’.
- The most iconic and expensive character of Hindi cinema “Bagwati” came into our lives.
- Big Boss gave some really iconic personalities and some ‘real life dialogues’ which are far better than the scripted ones.
- In a decade of Avengers movies, Caption America reminded us that he ‘can do this all day’ (fight like a superhero).
- Bollywood gave us a perfect trio of love songs. While heart broken listened to Agar Tum Saath Ho, the one sided lover had Channa Mereya to listen and Phir Le Aaya Dil remembered us about our lost love.
- The Hindi movie “Masaan” won two awards at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. It was written by a debutant, starred a debutant, and was directed by a debutant as well. It also gave us a heartthrob Vicky Kaushal.
- The iconic Gangs of Wasseypur happened. With its exemplary dialogues, unforgettable characters and an multifarious music it became the only Indian film to make it to Guardian’s best films of the 21st century.
- The epic episode of Koffee With Karan with ‘Kangana Ranaut’.
- Lilly Singh became the first woman to host NBC’s late-night show.
- After 1,547 episodes in 21 years in a single season CID finally came to an end.
- Gopi Bahu introduced us to a new technique of laptop cleaning.
- The unique rollercoaster ride of Sasuraal Simar Ka. From showing Simar pregnant with the Devil’s child, Simar as a makkhi to Simar-the-makkhi on the run (or fly) from armed assassins… the list goes on.
- The song ‘Why This Kolaveri Di?’. Haven’t we all sang this song?
- The epic “GANGNAM STYLE”.
- The different musical stylings of Dhinchak Pooja from selfie maine le li aaj to dillon ka shooter, hai mera scooter. She changed our whole perception about what can be considered music.
- The entire nation was captivated by Taher Shah’s songs.
- Game of Thrones started, ended, and reminded us of the ‘Mihir’ moment.
- The official anthem for 2010 FIFA World Cup ‘Waka Waka’.
- Vennu Mallesh reminded us that he could do whatever, because, it’s ‘his life’.
- And finally, there was a dialogue to replace Michael Scott’s iconic, ‘That’s What She Said’. It is, of course, Jake Peralta’s, ‘Title of your sex tape’.
