Former South Africa cricketer Jonty Rhodes was recently seen enjoying his time in India as he is here to participate in International Yog Festival.
He posted a photo of himself taking a dip in the Ganges at Rishikesh. “Benefits of cold water immersion in the Holy Ganges are both physical and spiritual #moksha #rishikesh #internationalyogfestival,” Rhodes wrote on Twitter.
After seeing his tweet, Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh requested Jonty to take him along the next time he visits the place. He also said Jonty has seen more India than he has.
Harbhajan tweeted, “You have seen more India thn me my friend.. good to see you enjoying and having dip in holy Ganga Folded hands next time take me along.”
Jonty came India to participate in The International Yog Festival 2020 which started on March 1 in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand and will finish on March 7.
It is a one week long festival where one can participate in various therapies, like naturopathy, chakra healing, acupressure, etc. as well as different forms of yoga.
He will be spending a few days in India with Indian Premier League (IPL) as Kings XI Punjab’s fielding coach. Rhodes was previously associated with Mumbai Indians, where he served as a fielding coach between 2009 and 2017.
Rhodes has a special connection with India, as he has named his 2016 born daughter ‘India Jeanne Rhodes’.
