Vetreran DD News anchor Neelum Sharma, who received the ‘Nari Shakti’ award in March this year, passed away today after battling cancer. The journalist was among the founding news anchors of DD.

She was an epitome of grace on TV news in contrast to what we see today! Always used to fight with dad when he would play news over my cartoons but when I slowly started watching her, I was engrossed !That started my liking for news and current affairs! #NeelumSharma of @DDNewsLive no more, she was one of the most graceful TV Anchor in our time. She had her own ways to present news without any influence of modern news anchors.
