Things like flowers and many other idols have been immersed in the rivers which makes theses rivers dirty and it’s a bad of the aquatic animals and nature too.
Recently ,the Central government has banned the immersion of idols in the Hindu holy river of Ganga and its tributaries during the upcoming festival season.
According to the reports of The Indian Express :The National Mission For Clean Ganga (NMCG) has issued directives to 15 Ganga basin states banning immersion of idols in the Ganga or its tributaries during festivals, including Dussehra, Diwali, Chhath and Saraswati Puja.
NMCG, the nodal agency initiated with cleaning the Hindu holy river has apparently issued a 15-point directive including cordoning off ghats to curb the habit of immersion of idols in the Ganga and its tributaries.
We hope these measures will definitely help in nature restoration and keeping all the dirt outside the river .
