ITBP Jawans Hoisting The Indian Flag At 18,000 Ft. In Minus 30 Degrees Deserves All Our Respect

Republic Day has become just another holiday for most of us but for our brave soldiers it is an emotion that is greater than anything else. A perfect example of this was shown in Ladakh by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans.

On a daily basis the jawans fight some of the worst weather conditions and put their lives in danger to protect us. Yet nothing deters them from coming forward to show how much they love their country.

To celebrate Republic Day, a group of 14 ITBP jawans hoisted the Indian flag at a height of 18,000 feet in a minus 30 degree celcius.

In Ladakh, one jawan held the flag high with the clear sky in the backdrop while others stood behind him in a perfect line in the backdrop of snow clad mountains.

People say, “A picture is worth more than a thousand words”. This picture is an epitome of patriotism and courage and we salute their spirit.
