Samsung Galaxy Fold, the revolutionary smartphone stepped into the luxury smartphone market in India and has already seen an overwhelming response. Samsung has already sold 1600 pieces of the smartphone within 30 minutes of opening their pre-bookings.
The foldable phone folds and unfolds like a book with two displays that can act as one. The Galaxy Fold has a 4.6-inch display when folded, and when you unfold this, the magic of the 7.3-inch foldable display is something that will captivate your attention.
Reports state that the customers who pre-booked the phones paid the full amount of ₹1,64,999 upfront, a first in the luxury smartphone market. To take the luxury experience a step ahead, the phone will be delivered to the customers by a concierge on October 20 and there will also be a dedicated expert available 24X7.
Customers will also get Galaxy Buds in the box along with the phone and an “Aramid Fiber” case that can withstand high pressures. The customers will also receive a year-long “Infinity Flex Display Protection” with their luxury smartphone.
For now, Samsung has cut off the sales since it sold the initial stock of 1600 units that were produced. With the world’s first “Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display”, the device also has split-screen multi-tasking, six cameras, Android 9 with One UI on top and a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 12GB RAM, 512GB storage and two batteries that total up to 4,380mAh capacity.
In terms of camera specifications, the Galaxy Fold comes with a 16-MP ultra-wide sensor, a 12MP wide-angle camera, and a 12MP telephoto camera at the rear. Inside, the smartphone has a 10MP selfie camera and an 8MP RGB Depth camera. There’s an additional 10MP selfie camera on the outside as well.
If you thought a phone this expensive will have a hard time finding takers, think again.
