One of the reality show grabbing high TRPs every year is Bigg Boss . This time, it’s season 14 with all new contestants and some old one, designated as seniors. Although, tasks and arguments are not new in BB house , it’s the charm of host Salman Khan , who does his job perfectly.
Weekend Ka Vaar is especially meant for the sum-up of the whole week and also the eviction of the contestants, who are nominated .
This time , on Weekend Ka Vaar episode Salman Khan had the perfect opportunity to take a dig at channels manipulating TRPs.
Salman didn’t take anyone’s name but it was pretty obvious that he was hinting at Arnab Goswami.
Apparently, speaking to the contestants, Salman said, “Bigg Boss ke andar ya kisi bhi show ke andar, you have to play the right game. Yeh nahi ki TRP ke liye kuch bhi khelo. Bahut achcha ja rahe ho tum log. From Day-1, I have never seen the response you are getting. To make it bigger and better, be honest and real. Not by ki yaar yeh bakwas kar raha hai, jhoot bol raha hai, chilla raha hai. Point yeh nahi hai. Woh aapke channel ko bandh kar denge.”
After that Salman said that he was putting his point across. He quoted: “What I wanted to say, I have said indirectly.”
Have a look at the clip below:
Salman’s indirect statement for Arnab Goswami was because in the recent past Goswami asserted on his news channel Republic TV ,how Salman Khan was not coming out with any comment over Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death and on the drug allegations.
He had also demanded Salman to speak and challenged the actor to face him on one of his primetime news debates. The video went viral all over social media where Arnab was asking where Salman is and why he is not speaking up.
It seems , Salman was waiting for the perfect timing to give it back and utilized that golden opportunity.
For the present, 4 Bollywood industry associations and 34 leading Bollywood producers had filed a civil suit before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court praying the court to direct Republic TV, Mr. Arnab Goswami and Mr. Pradeep Bhandari of Republic TV, Times Now, Mr. Rahul Shivshankar and Ms. Navika Kumar of Times Now to refrain from making or publishing irresponsible, derogatory and defamatory remarks against Bollywood.
