Sex-Mad Duck Who Loved ‘Doing It’ 10 Times A Day Has Penis Removed After Injury

And you thought you were having a bad day.

In a truly bizarre turn of events, a supposedly nymphomaniac duck named Randy Dave has had to have his penis removed after injuring it being “over-amorous”.

The duck’s owner, Josh Watson, claims the bird was mating with its female companions, Dora, Edith and Freda up to 10 times a day.

As a result, Dave injured himself and got a nasty infection. He was prescribed antibiotics and his owner was tasked with washing his penis daily, but as the duck kept trying to have sex, it unfortunately didn’t do the trick.

Vets decided the only thing they could do to make Dave more comfortable was to remove his manhood, leaving about one centimetre behind. Following the procedure the bird can still urinate, as ducks only use their penis for mating.

And his owner says he’s doing just fine, but he’s understandably a bit upset about it all.

Josh, who lives in Torquay, Devon, explained: ” He’s doing fine now, he’s quite resilient for a duck. The only downfall is that he’s lost his willy. I think he feels pretty upset about it. I think he’s a nymphomaniac. He’s got a high sex drive basically. So I think that’s what caused it. He tries to mate with his female companions a lot. Every chance he can get. Between five and ten times a day, maybe more.”

Josh continued to say how most ducks only act that way during mating season, but Dave doesn’t ever calm down.

He added: “He doesn’t stop throughout the year. Over winter he’s meant to calm down. The ducks stop laying eggs but he doesn’t stop mating. He just carries on. I think his female companions do like him. They obviously sometimes get fed up with him and wander off.

He does try at every available opportunity but sometimes he gets turned down. One of them really doesn’t like him probably because of that. But the other two are quite receptive.”

Sonya Miles, the vet that operated on Dave, claims “overuse” of the duck’s penis had caused it to prolapse before becoming injured and infected.

She said, “Dave had been over-amorous with the ladies that he lives with which had caused his penis to prolapse. This resulted in his penis getting traumatised and then pretty infected. He’d basically injured the tip of his penis and had a wound on it that had got infected.”

“Normally it goes back inside him once he’s finished [mating] but it stayed out and obviously when it’s out it’s bashed and stood on and pecked at and god knows what. Female ducks can actually be quite aggressive and if they don’t want his attention then they will peck at anything including his penis. I think [his penis] took the brunt of it, unfortunately. It’s brutal,” she added.

She went on to assure people that, while he’ll no longer be able to successfully breed, the operation won’t have too much impact on the duck’s future.

“He’ll definitely still try to mate. It’s not going to stop him,” she added.

Well, it looks like there’s not much rest for poor Dora, Freda and Edith.
