Srinagar is famous is for one the sights called Dal lake which is popular all over the world for its clean and fresh waters which clearly reflects the sky. But in few past years the lake is too much polluted by sewage disposal, weed and other infiltration which is harming the beauty of the lake as well as its clear waters filling it with trash and pollutants.
The root cause of this problem is we as the tourist as and when we visit the place, making it dirty and leaving all the trash behind., the local people have to deal with the mess created by them. Its when a 5-year-old local kid, Jannat had a spark in her eyes to curb this habit of making surroundings dirty and maintaining the beauty of Dal lake was on her mind.
She also told ANI, that with her father’s support, she is requesting everyone instead of throwing garbage in Dal Lake they should use dustbins
People should not litter Dal Lake and instead use dustbin for throwing waste. People, including locals and tourists, always throw different kind of wastage, including chips covers, biscuit covers, disposables and water bottles that affects the beauty of Dal Lake. I want people to use the dustbins that have been installed around the lake.
