Former Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has been admitted to AIIMS in Delhi after he complained of chest pain.
According to reports, the senior Congress leader was taken to the cardio-thoracic ward of AIIMS at around 8:45 pm and has been held under observation.
Manmohan Singh has been admitted to a hospital room and not to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
He underwent a bypass surgery in 2009 which was about 10-hour-long.
87-year-old Singh served as the thirteenth PM of India from 2004 to 2014. The first Sikh in office, Singh was also the first PM since Jawaharlal Nehru to be reappointed after finishing an entire five-year term.
