While the whole world is fighting the Corona virus, India too is doing its fullest to fight the pandemic. Indian government is taking all the effective measures to protect its citizens from the deadly virus. The total number of infected people has reached 500+ in India. Sadly, a total of 10 people has lost their lives whilst fighting the virus.
On Monday, Regional Emergencies Director of WHO, Dr. Roderico Ofrin, while releasing a statement lauded the efforts by Indian government, calling the measures ‘robust and comprehensive‘.
The statement read:
“India has been rolling out a comprehensive and robust response to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19. Its latest announcements related to quarantine and social distancing measures, including recent lockdown of 75 affected districts, suspension of rail, inter-state bus services, and metro services are initiatives of unprecedented scale and reflect the country’s resolve to prevent the spread of the pandemic.”
The whole country is under lockdown till April 14. Almost all the citizens are religiously following the government orders, except a few are who are breaking the rules by roaming around on the streets.
But the Meerut Police has find a perfect solution for these people. They are making them hold up signs reading, “I am a friend of coronavirus,” or “I am the enemy of society,” and posting their pictures on Twitter.
Meerut Police, on Twitter, shared many pictures of the such people with signs in their hands, along with a caption in Hindi, that read:
“#Coronavirus (COVID-19) जो सम्पूर्ण विश्व में महामारी की तरह फैल रहा है जिसे रोकने के लिए #meerutpolice द्वारा लॉकडाउन का पालन कराया जा रहा है परन्तु लॉकडाउन के दौरान समाज में कुछ ऐसे भी लोग है जिन्हे समाज की सुरक्षा की कोई फिक्र नही है #uppolice“
