The coronavirus outbreak has brought the world to a standstill. The whole world is fighting against the deadly pandemic. India’s neighbouring country Pakistan is also fighting against the virus. Over 2k+ people are infected with the virus in Pakistan. Unlike India, the Pakistani government hasn’t imposed nationwide lockdown in the country.
Many social organisations are coming forward to help the Pakistani citizens to fight against the deadly virus. Shahid Afridi Foundation, owned by former Pakistani cricketer, Shahid Afridi is also one of them. Afridi asked his colleagues to contribute for the noble cause.
Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh too urged people to donate funds to Shahid Afridi Foundation.
He took to Twitter and posted a video in which he said that he had been nominated by Harbhajan Singh for the same, and everyone should come together to fight against the deadly virus.
Posting the video, he wrote, “These are testing times, it’s time to lookout for each other specially the ones who are lesser fortunate. Lets do our bit, I am supporting @SAfridiOfficial & @SAFoundationN in this noble initiative of covid19. Pls donate on http://donatekarona.com #StayHome @harbhajan_singh”
However, his gesture didn’t impressed Indians and they slammed him for supporting someone who has constantly spoken against India.
